How to Spend Time in the Bazaar

Now that he has a Biomarker, Aiden can enter the Bazaar without fearing for his life. Track the mission from the Journal Menu and follow the yellow tracker to go there. Once inside the building, you'll have to talk with the people of the Bazaar to mingle; they will usually ask you to do stuff for them. Accept these side quests as some have valuable rewards, like weapon mods.

The only clue you have is to "spend time in the bazaar", but in order to progress the quest, you'll need to complete at least two side quest from any of the Bazaarians, or those located just outside the settlement, we recommend The Spark of Invention and either Cheers! or All in the Family.

After that Hakon will contact you again and ask you to meet him on the roof near the main metro station. The location will be marked in yellow to make things easy.

Meeting with Hakon

Upon meeting with Hakon, he will point out the Peacekeepers' base and tell you that the plan is for you guys to infiltrate the base to get to the metro technical station. From there, you can take an airlock to the Central Loop (a place where Aiden is hoping to learn more about what happened to Mia).

Going to the Tunnels

When Aiden wakes up, a Bolter will be just outside the safe zone where he was resting. You won't be able to interact with it so go to the metro tunnels instead; the door will be guarded by a few infected. Deal with them before picking the door.

Open the door and go down the stairs, then open the door to your right, keep moving forward and go through the door on your left. To get out of that room, look up and jump to the vent.

Keep moving, and reach an area full of resting infected—Crouch to avoid waking them up. You don't want to take much time in this area since your immunity will decrease by the minute. A few UV shroomz are lying around; pick them up to gain some time.

To get to the tunnels, go to your left (to the room where the lockers and the shroomz are) and then move forward to the other room; there'll be an active zombie, so be careful. You want to go to the left corner of the room to get out of here, where there's a small opening in the wall.

The tunnels will be filled with infected so keep being stealthy. You want to go to the left, through the metro tracks, keep moving forward, then take the stairs on the right where a door that has "Exit" written on top is; use a lockpick to open it.

Keep moving forward, and you'll find a door (the one on the left) at the end of the room, just above the second pair of stairs (there's also a vent to the room's right you can use to hide from the infected).

Go through the door, follow the tracks to the right, keep moving forward and take the stairs to the left to go through the metro wagon in the wall. There's an infected inside so kill it.

Exit the wagon and keep going forward; you'll be in a new area of the tunnels. Go to the left and up the stairs to get some UV shroomz. You'll need them.

You want to get to another metro wagon on the right side of this room, there's an infected patrolling the area, but if you time it right, it won't see you.

Exit the wagon and deal with the zombies outside so you can leave through the gate that's slightly open. Crouch through there, and you'll finally reach the UV flares that Hakon left for you.

Once your immunity is complete again, go up the stairs on the left and grab the weapon that's on the crate, then try to open the door, a cutscene will start where a Spitter begins attacking you. The best thing you can do is avoid its acid spit. Deal with the special and the other infected, and now you'll be able to lockpick the door you were trying to open before.

Open the door, then open the other door in front of you, enter that room and look up to jump to the vent. You will start hearing Hakon talking to some Peacekeepers and distracting them while you sneak around, keep crawling and exit the vents. You'll have to use the vent in the back of the hall you're in.

Get inside and keep walking; you'll now be inside the Peacekeepers base, at the heart of the metro station.

Meeting Aitor, the Peacekeeper's Commander

Walk to your right to the platform and then open the airlock that's on the left side of the area. However, after pushing the button, you will be captured by Peacekeepers and brought to their Commander, Aitor, for questioning.

Aitor will ask you what's it like outside the city, you can tell him the following options:

  • When was the last time you were outside the city? (colored in white)
  • Why do you think I killed anyone? (colored in white)
  • Outlands are dangerous (colored in yellow)

Aiden will tell Aitor that he is looking for someone. Aitor tells him that he won't open the tunnel until he finds who killed the Peacekeeper's previous commander, Lucas. Aitor then asks Aiden to help him find Commander Lucas's weapon, a pair of brass knuckles. A dialogue wheel will open, and you can tell Aitor the following:

  • I can try (colored in yellow)
  • Why should I trust you? (colored in white), if you choose this option, it will unlock another option in the wheel, "I have my own affairs" (colored in yellow)

Reuniting with Hakon

Aiden is set free to look for the weapon and can now use the Peacekeeper's base as a safe zone. Hakon will contact Aiden again upon leaving the room and ask to meet outside. Leave the base and follow the yellow marker to meet with Hakon; he will ask you what did the Peacekeepers wanted, you can tell him the following:

  • Aitor asked me to help him (colored in yellow)
  • Why were you gone? (colored in white)

Aiden will tell Hakon that Aitor wants help finding the brass knuckles, so Hakon tells him that he knows someone who could know something about the weapon, Hubert.

Finding Hubert

Hubert's location (a windmill somewhat close to the Peacekeeper's base) will be marked in yellow, so follow the marker to get to him. However, Hubert is nowhere to be found once you get there, so you have to wait until he appears.

When Aiden wakes up, another man will be at the windmill, he then alerts Hubert that Aiden is looking for him, but Hubert starts running, fearing he is in trouble. You'll have around a minute to catch Hubert, so try not to fall.

When you get to where Hubert is supposed to be, you won't be able to see him. However, Hakon tells you that Hubert is climbing to the GRE building roof, so you'll have to climb up there as well. To get to the roof, go to the left side of the building and climb an old Ad structure.

Hubert will be outside the GRE structure's main entrance (the door you're supposed to open with the GRE key).

Talk to Hubert, and you can either tell ask him the following:

  • Why did you run away from me? (colored in white)
  • How do you know the Lazarus is a set of brass knuckles? (colored in yellow)

Finding Maya

Herbert will end up telling Aiden that someone named Maya tried to sell him the weapon, so you'll have to find her in Meatpacking Square. Follow the yellow marker until you get there.

Once you find the building, you'll need to search for an entrance in one of its sides (the one with the terrace) and enter through a window.

Once inside, go to the left and look for a room with a UV light in it; jump to get to the upper level.

After climbing the structure seen in the picture above, you'll see a GRE crate with inhibitors. It's just outside the room where Maya is.

Enter the room to the right of the crate, and you'll find two children, it turns out the little girl is Maya. You can tell her the following:

  • Where did you find the Lazarus? (colored in white)
  • Give me the Lazarus (colored in yellow)

Maya tells Aiden that she will give him the weapon for 500, you can then tell her:

  • I don't pay (colored in yellow)
  • Negotiate (colored in yellow)

Reporting Back to Aitor

She will give you the weapon, and now you can return it to Aitor, so head back to the Peacekeeper's base. Once inside, you'll find Aitor in one of the rooms getting tattooed. A Dialogue wheel opens, and you can tell Aitor:

  • Get me to the Center (colored in yellow)
  • What is this tattoo? (colored in white)

However, Aitor tells Aiden that he won't be able to open up the tunnel until he finds the killer, so Aiden can either help him or wait until he finds it. Aiden reluctantly agrees to search for suspects in the Bazaar. A Dialogue wheel opens, and you can tell Aitor:

  • I will find the killer (colored in yellow)
  • What's your problem with the Bazaar? (colored in white)

Meeting Carl

Head out of the base, and you'll find Hakon waiting for you; he will tell you that only two people are worth talking to in the Bazaar, Carl and Sophie.

Go back to the Bazaar, and you'll be led to Carl, who will ask Aiden how is the world outside the city; you can tell him the following:

  • You wanted me here for gossip? (colored in yellow)
  • Bad, and getting worse (colored in white), if you choose this one, another option will appear "Why don't you tell me more about your people?" (colored in white)

Carl will then ask Aiden if he is a sheep or a wolf, which you can reply with:

  • I don't like that metaphor (colored in yellow)
  • A sheep - I'm no threat to you (colored in yellow)
  • A wolf - you better watch out (colored in yellow)

After answering, Aiden will tell Carl that he is looking for Sophie, to which Carl will ask why; you can answer with one of the following:

  • I need to ask her about Luca's death (colored in yellow)
  • I have a package for her (colored in yellow)
  • It's my own business (colored in yellow)

Meeting Sophie

Carl will point Aiden in Sophie's direction; she is right there in the Bazaar. Turn back, and Sophie will be just to the right of the church's door.

Talk to her, and Aiden will ask Sophie for a job; she will ask him to go to one of the craftmasters and ask for the purest crystals' location. You can tell her the following:

  • I'll look for Alberto and Vincenzo (colored in yellow)
  • Tell me more about Alberto and Vincenzo (colored in white)
  • What sort of transaction? (colored in white)
  • What do you mean, "in charge of safety?" (colored in white)

After talking to her, get inside the church and follow the yellow marker to find the guys Sophie told Aiden about. Vincenzo and Alberto will tell him that Sophie's brother has already come and asked about the crystals. Go back to Sophie and tell her the news. He went by himself to look for the crystals, so naturally, Sophie is worried. A dialogue wheel will open, and you can tell her the following:

  • How did Barney get hurt? (colored in yellow)
  • Why blame yourself? (colored in white)

Aiden offers to find Sophie's brother, and this Main Quest will end. The next one, Unruly Brother, will start shortly after.
