It's not this simple because of I pair the trainer to my watch then rouvy doesn't connect to the trainer.

Here is how i connect my Fenix 3 watch with Rouvy and Garmin Connect: At first you have to have to make the WiFi settings inyour Garmin watch foryour WiFi (Settings->WLAN). This will ensure that your watch will upload to Garmin Connect as soon as there is new workout data.

Then you sit on your bike and you begin pedaling. Your watch will recognize the bike trainer (Settings->Sensors-> Add new). My Saris Hammer trainer is found as a power sensor. Add it and it will record cadence & power (see posting above).

Then you start your workout in Rouvy. While beginning with the workout you push "Start" on your watch and start an indoor cycling recording. Don't forget to push "Stop" on your watch at the end of the training. Your watch will automatically synchronize with Garmin Connect over WiFi.

This hopefullyworks with yourEdge 830 also.

I just got started with Rouvy and went through this process. You will need to load the Rouvy Workouts into your computer. After you log on, the home page will appear. At the top next to the Rouvy icon, tap on the View-Settings-then Cloud..Under Cloud Services, the first thing I see is Connect with Strava. I clicked Auto and it sends the completed workout directly to Strava I did the same for TrainingPeaks. Hopr this helps

It is automatic upload after your training: you need to connect your bike trainer to your watch. Mine is found as a power sensor on my Fenix 3. When you start your training in Rouvy, your trainer is both connected to your watch and your Rouvy app. You just start then a new indoor cycling training on your watch and the data is taken from your sensor connection to the trainer. When you push"stop" on your watch, your training will be synchronized with Garmin Connect. My watch has WiFi. So right after pushing "stop" it is synchronized with Garmin Connect automatically.

I'm having the same issues, I've tried to compute the responses but I must be missing something, please forgive me! So my issue, like the title above, is syncing rouvy to garmin. This would allow me to have HR data on the screen whilst using Rouvy, and also reduce the need todelete duplicated strava entries(one activity from the watch, another from Rouvy), and also have all the data in the Connect app. My garmin is synced to strava, activities sync automatically. My rouvy is synced to strava, again auto uploads, but they will not "merge" no matter how much I try to start and stop the activities on rouvy and the garmin simultaneously! The watch pairs with smart turbo and reads power etc (cadence and speed are waaay out but thats another story!). Perhaps i'm being dull, but any tips would be very much appreciated!

Everyone be careful. I did an IRONMAN virtual race and used Rouvy, as that’s what is mandated. But I also had my Garmin connected. The Garmin recorded a different result and it was before the Rouvy was logged. Thus the double entry dropped my Rouvy result and then I had to do the race (exhausted) again.

Obviously Rouvy is trying to figure things out and although I like the VR of riding, the sync issues and cost has me double thinking investing.

So, if doing an Ironman virtual race. Do not use your watch or any other device. Only Rouvy.

    Good luck.

    Beware.

did an Ironman virtual race and because I had Garmin and Rouvy going at same time, it dropped my Rouvy race which was needed for the race result. Garmin gave a slightly lower figure, so it took that one.

it’s annoying that today I did the race again! Plus have no Garmin sync from Rouvy nor Strava recording. Why use this app if it has no connection to any of the go to devices. I’m not paying even $1 per month for something missing that. Given I’ve spent $1000’s on Garmin and related sports equipment.

I do not think @7627384 meant toconnect a Garmin watch (or a Garmin bike computer, like Edge) to Rouvy. What he/she meant was to connect theGarmin device to your smart trainer in addition to the trainer also being simultaneously connected to Rouvy. That way your Garmin device records your session as well and uploads it to Garmin Connect. Your activity will be on Rouvy too, obviously, bit you wouldno longer need to upload it from there to Garmin.

While this workaround is not difficult, I still think that Garmin should allow Rouvy to uploadactivities automatically. I do not take the statement that Rouvy does not know ho to do it. I bet they do. They upload to at least ten other services. It is probably a licensing issue, is my guess. Perhaps the license is too expensive for Rouvy to afford.

This is how I did it. First syncronize Rouvy with TrainingPeaks, your workouts will be syncronized automatically. Second, from TP download the activity file on your computer. Third, go to Garmin Connect and import the file. It will take you less than 5 mins. Cheers!!!
